EMMA BRIDGEWATER - SPONGED TULIPS 1.5 PINT JUG - EXCLUSIVE TO WAITROSE IN A LIMITED SHORT RUN FOR MOTHERS' DAY PROMOTION - NEW - SOME PROBLEMS - SEE DESCRIPTION Bridgewater have once again collaborated with Waitrose to produce this exclusive and beautiful jug for a limited period in a short run for the Mothers' Day market. I am not sure if they have yet sold out, but there have been intermittant delivery problems with this item - according to the Waitrose website, and they are unable to ship overseas and quite possibly some, more remote parts of the Britsh Isles. Bridgewater pottery is all hand-made and, whilst they have a strict quality control, occasionally, it is unavoidable that items will end up with tiny or minor imperfections such as pinpricks and glazing pimples. Sometimes too, there will be minor anomalies in the way a piece has been decorated as they are all hand or sponge-painted. I ordered 3 of these jugs and only one escaped without fault - the other 2 had problems. This particular jug has one or 2 pinpricks and one pimple on the rim by the spout. To be honest, you would need to scrutinise very hard to find these and the jug is so beautiful that for me, the decoration of the piece is more important than a few little defects.
