This is a real find! America's favorite clown Emmett Kelly,Jr., " Looking Out To Sea "-Limited Edition #891 of 12000 - one of the first thousand made ! To find one with a number this low, in excellent condition, is rare. I'm giving him up to help with my son's college expenses. Through research I've found them priced from $1300 - $2000, all above this edition #. Made in 1981, he stands 10" tall with a base 4" wide. His condition is mint and t is very little wear on the bottom. To describe him is hard- he has such a wistful look on his face. T looks like a Red Cross patch on the right lapel. A little below that is a line with the #25 under it. (If you know what it signifies please let me know!) The 'tie clip' has EKJ on it. On the bottom of the base is- The Emmett Kelly Jr (looks like his signature?) Collection, Exclusively from Flambro, Limited Edition 891 of 12000. Emmett Kelly was America's most photographed clown, always willing to give autographs; he appeared twice at The White House- a real American icon. Sadly he passed away in 2006. After his death Flamebro closed. He needs a good home and will help with college, so we're reluctantly letting him go. We still have 'The Sweeper' though! (-: Take time to verify my info, then please bid and enjoy- if you win you will not regret it! The long tatter hanging from under Emmett's raised arm can be seen in the pictures, and as a shadow. It curls towards the #25, another piece curls towards his tie clip, the longer piece comes to a point near the safety pin. T does not appear to be any chips, breaks, etc., from what I can tell. Thanks for looking & for your bids! |
