We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful rolled arm Acanthus carved empire flame mahogany federal period sofa that dates from the 1840s to 1860s. It is a true model with beautiful Acanthus rolled arms, flame mahogany skirts and a fancy scroll back. It has fantastic carved claw foot detail with the big fruit and leaves in the front. The only negative on this period sofa is that it appears to have a very old fabric on it that is stained and worn. It comes with a couple of throw pillows. It has the right look and it is definitely the right age.It is in the original dark reddish brown mahogany stain finish. It is a great size at 90 inches wide, 23 inches deep, 33.5 inches high to the back, 30.5 inches high to the arms and 17 inches high to the seat.
