It is our pleasure to present, for your consideration, this handsome and very nice Classical Empire Flame Mahogany Secretary with Bookcase top and Scrolled Feet (Circa: 1840). This handsome Secretary has a lift-off Bookcase Glass door top and weighs approximately 130 pounds total and measures 73" in total height (from the floor to the top of the Bookcase top, 31 ¼" in height (from the floor to the top of the writing surface), 42" in width, and 21 ½" in depth. The details on this piece exude the understated elegance that one would expect from a Classical Empire piece. This very nice Classical Empire Flame Mahogany Secretary breaks down into two pieces for shipping purposes. The lovely lift-off Bookcase Glass door top alone measures 37 ¾" in height, 42" in width, and 12" in depth and is graced with a beautiful flame mahogany flared crown. T are six individual panes of glass in each door. The doors open to reveal an interior that consists of two fixed shelves measuring 36" wide and 8" deep with the top shelf having a height of 13 ¼" and the middle shelf having a height of 12" along with three cubby slots which measure 3" in height and 7 ¾" in width and one small interior drawer with a brass pull.
