We are pleased to present, for your consideration, this elegant Classical Empire Period Flame Mahogany Southern Sideboard with a Triple Chimney Back Splash and Amazing Pineapple Fountain Fruit Basket Acanthus Carved Side Columns with Acanthus Carved Paw Feet (Circa: 1840). This fabulous Sideboard weighs approximately 200 pounds, measures 53 ½" in height (from the floor to the top of the Chimney Back Splash), 43 ½" in height (from the floor to the top surface), 62" in width, and 23" in depth. The elegant flame mahogany details are fabulous. This is an excellent example of American Classical Empire Period furniture! This elegant Classical Empire Period Flame Mahogany Southern Sideboard has beautiful flame mahogany with southern yellow pine and poplar secondary woods and has a chamfered back (a sign of quality). It is graced with a gorgeous Triple Chimney Back Splash with Crown Moulding Capitals. Three top dovetailed drawers with period floral glass pulls and chamfered bottoms provide storage opportunity as do the shelves found behind each of the three beautiful flame mahogany clad doors. Each of the doors have intact locks (note: the center and right door locks work while the left door lock seems frozen). A fancy tasseled key is included. Additional details include the amazing pineapple fountain, fruit basket acanthus carved side columns that culminate into powerful acanthus carved paw feet. This impressive, absolutely beautiful Southern Sideboard is in excellent condition for its age and is ready to provide you with utility, beauty and elegance for countless years to come. As one would expect for a sideboard of this age, t have been veener repairs over the years and the top does have several shrinkage cracks from age.
