Lot of 2 Vintage Enamel Cast Iron Warming Pots These are made by COPCO, Michael Lax Design, DENMARK. I believe they are 60's or 70's, can't remember how long my mom had these, from her "always throws the BEST party" days. They are a lovely yellow enamel on the outside, white on the inside over cast iron. The finish on the pots is excellent. The two cast iron stands, which hold a tealight candle for warming have some rust, I ran these through the dishwasher...not to bright. I am sure they could be seasoned like a cast iron frying pan and most of this would be taken care of. They still display nicely as the focus is on the little pots. They are perfect for warm dips like crab, queso or artichoke as well as chocolate fondue or any other sauce or dip served warm. What is most desirable, besides the MODERN retro look is that they are warmed by a tealight candle instead of canned heat. They are easy clean up and really come in handy! Don't let a little rust scare you away.....you can re-season these bases with a little mineral oil. Please look at the lovely vintage laquerware platters, in matching yellow and orange with a mod flower, perfect to set the items on for dipping at your next party! Check my other auctions, you many have to have another! Thanks so much for checking out my auction and I welcome any questions. Insurance is optional an most items, (required on some delicate items) your choice and your risk if you don't purchase it. I usually mail within one day of payment, frequently the same day as payment and occaisionally it takes a day or two longer.
