Wehave for your viewing and bidding pleasure an enamel porcelainadvertising sign. The sign is double sided and advertises BARBER SHOP on each side. The sign was recently obtained out of a private collection in which the 80 plus year old gentleman was dispersing his private collection of antiques and collectibles. The sign came from a old time Barber Shop in Minnesota that had been closed for several years. On both sides of the sign on the bottom it has the numbers 1224. In the center bottom on a white background it has the name WILLIAM MARVY COMPANY. Then outside of this logo area it has ST. PAUL MINN. 55105.The sign measures 12” wide by 24” long. It is a flange sign and the flange is 1 1/2” wide with 3 mounting holes. The center mounting hole has a metal insert which is rather loose and bent up. The bottom and top inserts are missing. The top hole area has some bending and chipping. At this top corner 3 1/2” long the flange is split from the main body of the sign. On the other corner of the sign there are 2 other mounting holes if a person wanted to mount the sign flat instead of by the end flange holes, depending on how you wanted the sign to mount outside your barber shop. The main body of the sign is in really great condition. There is just some light soiled dusting. One side has a few little tiny rust spots and some white pin head spots of paint drops. There is also a little tiny 1/8” chip on the S. The sign is very desirable and we are listing the above described sign in an “as is, as found” state and condition at a no reserve selling price. So, good luck bidding. We combine shipping charges.
