OPEN TO U.K BIDDERS ONLY VERY RARE ENAMEL SIGN Circa 1900-1901 W.M DAWES COAL MERCHANT OF CROMFORD IN DERBYSHIRE(NEAR MATLOCK) W.M DAWES OPERATED THE TRANSPORT OF COAL ON THE CROMFORD CANAL DOWN TO CROMFORD WHARF-I BELEIVE THE BOAT WAS CALLED 'SHAMROCK'THIS SIGN WOULD HAVE BEEN IN A NUMBER OF POSSIBLE PLACES ON THE ACTUAL BOAT/WHARF/HORSE CART OR THE CROMFORD RAILWAY STATION AS THEY HAD INTERESTS IN THE STATION ALSO.A VERY UNIQUE ITEM OF LOCAL INTEREST & CONDITION WISE ITS VERY GOOD WITH SOME CHIPPING IN PLACES. LENGTH IS-16inchs & THE WIDTH IS-8inchs
