This lovely Black enamel sterling silver Butterfly necklace is in very good condition. Made in Denmark, the piece is marked with the maker's initial VB. There is gold gilt(vermeil)over the silver which is typical of many of the older enamel pieces from Denmark. The butterfly measures 1 3/8" wide including the rings on each side which attach the butterfly to the chain and 3/4" high. The chain measures 7 1/8" on one side making the total length of the necklace including the butterfly 16" long.
