Up for auction is just a SUPERB example of an early enameled Saloon Back bar bottle which I picked up a few years ago at a North Texas flea market.

There is NO embossing present on this bottle as far as brand however the enameled RED ROYAL FLUSH poker hand pretty much speaks for itself !!!

Bottle is definitely mold blown and hand made, lots of crudity and bubbles present in the glass. Some appropriate base wear present from the many years of saloon use.

Definitely has the original ground glass stopper present as stopper design exactly matches the unusual main body design of bottle, both of which are geometric in style and shape - quite elaborate and distinctly different in a back bar bottle style. Also, stopper is loose and not stuck in the neck which is a nice plus.

This bottle is in fantastic condition, no chips, cracks, dings, impacts, or other damage AT ALL. Only a very slight amount of whitish calcium clouding inside which is quite typical of a back bar bottle. If desired, CLR should tackle this nicely - left up to the new owner, I like it this way as it shows a used lifestyle.

A RED ROYAL FLUSH poker hand is enameled on both sides of the main body panel in exactly the same position. Both of these labels are in very good condition, one side has a small scratch in the white card surface which runs across the Jack and Queen of Hearts towards the bottom - very minor. See photos.

Now, I'm not really sure of the significance of the paper label which looks to read "Property of C. B. Williams Arcade Saloon Houston, Texas". There is an identical label on the other side at the same general location but is torn away and only partially present. Both of these labels were on the bottle when it was purchased. They do look old and weathered enough to be original to the bottle but I just don't know for sure.

Height is slightly over 11 inches to very top of glass stopper, round pedestal base is slightly over 3 inches in diameter, widest portion which is across the middle is about 5-1/2 inches.

Color is clear glass.

Thats about it, this is truely an EXCEPTIONAL back bar bottle and I would imagine should be quite RARE, so lets get this auction underway before I CHANGE MY MIND about selling this one !!!!!
