This Very Nice 256 Page Hardback Book has some Fold-Out Illustrations that are almost 3 Feet Long! Titled, The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Combat Aircraft of World War Two, A Technical Directory of the Warplanes of 1939-1945. By Bill Gunston. Looks like a Very Expensive Book. More than 780 Illustrations including over 100 in Color and 200 Color side elevation drawings that makes this the Most Impressive Volume yet on these Aircraft. More than 150,000 words of text and data detailing 1,000s of Facts and Figures on over 250 different Aircraft and evaluates the performace of these Aircraft under fire. A Huge amount of info on all the types of Aircraft flown during World War Two. Just a couple are, Junkers, Messerschmitt, Fokker, Vickers, Zero, Grumman, Lockheed, Douglas, Fairchild, Curtiss, Boeing, Bell, Martin, Northrop, Waco, Vultee, Yakovlev, Topolev, Sukhoi, Beriev, Nakajima, Mitsubishi, Macchi, Fiat, Cant, Caproni, Bristol, DeHavilland, Fairey, Gloster, Kawasaki, PZL, German Jet Aircraft such as the Me 163 Komet, Focke - Wulf, Dornier, Farman and 100s more with Info and Illustrations on each type of Aircraft from, Australia, France, Italy, Japan, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Holland, Great Britain, Poland, Soviet Union and the United States of America. Would take Days to read and is a Great Reference Book for a Military Buff, Aviation Collector, Historian etc. Says that this Book is unlikely ever to be surpassed by any other Book on this subject and i believe it! All the Cut away Drawings, Illustrations, Photos and info in this Book is Incredable and i'm not just saying this to try to sell it! Very Tiny tear top of dustjacket at spine and a few Very Trivial Very Light scratch marks on jacket, Otherwise in Very Nice Condition. I noticed a small sticker on back of last page that says, For Reference, Not to be taken from this room. { Somebody did but Not me } No Library stickers or markings so i don't know w it came from. This is from 1979 and probably out of print? Would cost a Lot of Money to print a Book like this now a days. S & H, 4.00 due to Weight. I'm listing another Book on Aviation also.
