Recently I picked up a group of Freemasonry, Mason, Knights Templar items at a local estate auction.

is an old set of encyclopedias of Freemasons originally by Albert G. Mackey and Charles T. McClenachan. These revised editions printed in 1927 were written by Edward L. Hawkins and William J. Hughan and published by The Masonic History Company.

This set of books is in good condition for their age with some shelf wear. The pages are yellowed from age but without damage and no mildew odor. They have embossed covers and gold gilt edged pages. The end papers of each volume are solid gold gilt as well although the first gold page in VOLUME I is loose. At the beginning of Volume I t is a page that appears to be canvas with a painting of Albert Gallatin Mackey. T are many color and black and white plates throughout these two volumes. Volume I includes A-L and Volume II includes M-Z with a total of over 900 pages. These books measure 10 ¼ inches x 7 ¼ inches.

At the end of Volume II are 4 pages of records that have never been filled in. These include:
