A Fine England English Etching on Paper of an Abstract by Jeffery Francis Beardsall. Measures 22 x 30 inches; missing a corner, some stains and age wear. Jeffery Francis Beardsall was born in Hereford, England in 1940. He began his artistic education at the Sheffield College of Arts and then moved on to the renowned Slade School of Fine Arts (University College London). There he studied with Frank Auerbach, Sir William Coldstream and Anthony Gross. He completed his Fine Arts Graduation and Postgraduate in Printmaking in 1967. He established studios in London and New York City and started to make a name for himself by printing original monotypes for Robert Motherwell and etchings for Salvador Dali. In 1975 he was a recipient of a John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship and also was rewarded several prizes and awards in England such as: Print Making Award, Post Graduate Print Making Award and The Samuel Biggin Painting Prize.
