England World War 1 Death Penny Memorial Plaque Medal Bronze 4 3/4"Offering an English World War 1 "Death Penny". These plaques were presented by the English Government to the families of the Service men and women that were killed during World War 1. It is a uni-face medallion that is 4 3/4" (120 mm) in diameter. This one has no mint marking on the reverse, indicating that it was manufactured at the Government Memorial Plaque Factory in Action. This plaque was presented to the family of William Jamieson. The medal in the photos is the one being offered. I invite you to have a good look before bidding.
