This is a wonderful Circa 1805-1825 John or Thomas Rose, Coalport Porcelain Blue Transferware Teapot . It measures approximately 10-1/2" long from spout to backside of the handle and stands approximately 6-1/2" high to the top of the finial . The interior shows the shield-shaped strainer, this one with 17 holes. The handle shows the flat thumb rest. Both are characteristics of the John or Thomas Rose influence with Coalport. It is in beautiful estate condition with NO chips, NO repairs, NO replacements and NO restoration . The gilt striping does show wear, as shown in the photos. The spout shows a faint, 1/2" long tight hairline extending off the left side, as shown in the photo. The underside shows a molded (raised) mark which we believe also connects it to Coalport, possibly closer to the 1825 period. This is a wonderful example that would certainly be a beautiful addition to any collection. It comes from an old collection of early ceramics which we are continuing to list.
