LOT 410Seller's Estimate: USD 1,200 - 1,800English Edwardian George III Style Carved Mahogany Tall Case Clock, early 19th c., by Elliott, London, the stepped arched crown over an arched door opening to sun and moon phase brass Arabic numeral dial, above a rectangular beveled glazed pendulum window within engaged columns on a rectangular base, H.- 85 1/4 in., W.- 22 in., D.- 15 3/8 in.Condition Report:Condition consistent with age. Several cracks are observed in the arched top. Two metal pins are lacking from one corner of the decoration around the face. About half of the painted decoration above the face is lacking and heavy craquelure is noted to the remainder. Light brown patina is seen in the lower left of the face. Very slight variation is noted throughout the staining. Base- Several 1 cm gouges are observed on the left side. A pea-size gouge is seen on the front with several flea-size gouges below. An approximate 1 inch scratch is observed on the right side. Three pea-size chips are observed to the front edges. An approximate 10 inch hairline crack is seen on the front. A slight separation is noted between the trim on the front corners. Light wear and scuffs are noted to the bottom trim. A magnificent example.ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD "AS IS."
