Offered for sale is this impressive surveyor's/military hand compass made by Stanley of London. Unfortunately there have been a glut of cheap Indian knock-offs flooding the market. This in an original. The brass body is in very good condition and the needle points accurately to north. I am no expert so I will just point there is a table engraved into the top that is inscribed, "Natural Sine". The mirror's surface has some small areas where the silvering on the second surface has been worn. There are 2 bubble levels on an assembly that swivels by the use of a lever on the bottom of the case. Buyer pays for S&H plus required insurance.
