Antique History Finest English Silver & Collectable Antiquities Circ. 1200s – 18 th 19 th 20 th Century Preserving the past for the future. Item: English Sterling Silver Cased set of 3 Pendants. A cased set of three large English Sterling Silver hallmarked pendants. I was told when I purchased these some time ago that they depict, long life, royalty and the Chinese Calendar. Sterling silver casing, blue enamel field, Sterling Silver figures depicting a Chinese emperor, flower trees, sun and window, a stalk and servant to reverse, which looks to be old Chinese text again in Sterling silver, comes with ring suspension. Sterling Silver casing, lime green enamel field, depicting two Sterling Silver dragons, the field has a Kriss cross pattern. Reverse, kriss cross pattern field enamel lime green, with old Chinese text again in Sterling silver, comes with ring suspension. Sterling Silver casing, apple green enamel field, depicting figurine underneath tree, sitting upon a stone, to his side a tiger, again all in Sterling Silver. Reverse, apple green field enamel which depicts the Chinese calendar again in Sterling Silver, comes with ring suspension. The detailing is quite breathtaking Stunning as there is much detailing on each pendant, I am not sure if they were attached to clothing, as in the box there is a space above the pendants which appears to house three individual bars which are no longer present, again it may have been chains. The box is cloth to the outside depicting a Chinese scene, fastens with two plastic bars. To the inside red velvet lining to base indicating good luck, to the upper lid a cream silk padded lining. Once again all three items have a full set of English Sterling Silver hallmarks. For the collector or investor of unusual artefacts with a Chinese theme. Maker: CLK Hallmarks: Makers Mark CLK, Date Letter E 1979, Lion .925 Sterling Silver Finest, Leopard London. Size Box: 188mm x 98mm x 25mm, Pendant Size: 40mm each. Weight Box: 275 gms, Weight of Pendants Combined: 73gms. Condition: Box has a few cuff marks to base, pendants are in superb condition. The lime green pendant has some residue spilt on it can be cleaned. No cracks dents or splits to the enamel, Light surface markings consistent with age and genuine usage.
