is a beautiful English London Holland, Aldwinckle & Slater sterling silver chalice circa 1845. The chalice has a wonderful floral repousse with angels, cherubs, ribbon swags, and scrolls. The stem is adorned with angels. The detail is crisp and superb. The chalice measures 10 3/4" high by 5 3/4" in diameter. The base measures 4 3/4" in diameter and weighs a heavy 21.6 troy ounces. The chalice has the English lion passant, London leopard's head, date mark k 1845, duty mark, and maker's mark HH Holland, Aldwinckle & Slater. The conditon is good with no damage, dents, or dings. T is a crease on the stem please see photos chalice is level and straight. T is a broken wing on one of the angel wings on the base. The chalice is level and sits straight.
