Description

A finest quality English solid sterling silver Open Salt, with a very pretty "Lidded Tureen & Floral Swags" decoration standing on four "Lions Paw" feet, and which retains its original internal cobalt blue glass liner.

This attractive Salt was made in Birmingham in 1918 by the respected silversmiths of Edward Souter Barnsley, it has had no forms of personalisation added, and it comes in a very good condition.

Size :- The Open Salt has a maximum length of just over 2 1/4 " or 58 mm, and a height of just over 1 1/4" or 32mm, with a weight of 53.4g (18.2g of sterling silver).

Age :- 94 years old (1918 )

Condition :- Very fine condition for age, and with no personalisations added and no damages. The Spoon has the slightest kink at the shoulder. Please check the additional photography for self-assessment.
