English Victorian Sterling Silver Pin w/ Tiny Engraved Sparrow, Circa 1912

Lovely hand crafted English Victorian (1912) sterling silver pin. Engraved trefoil ends, and quadrefoil center with raised crossbars. Raised rose gold washed square center has sweet engraved sparrow and beaded accents. Measures 1-13/16" x 9/16". Simple "C" hook pin back clasp with tube hinge. Back has English sterling silver hallmarks and maker mark: anchor for Birmingham Assay Office, Lion Passant for sterling silver content, small case Gothic "n" in shield for date mark 1912, "J" for maker mark. (See International Hallmarks on Silver Collected by Tardy, p.251). In excellent condition with light age appropriate wear. Has not been cleaned and retains its original age tarnished patina. The "C" hook has been replaced by soldering, all other findings are original to the pin. $4.95 shipping/insurance in the US.
