This is from a collection of beautiful Victorian banquet lamps I will be selling on ebay, all coming from a private collector's estate. This one stands 27 3/4" high to top of shade and is in very good condition with only some discoloration/verdigris at the soldering points of the post and base. This lamp has been electrified with a socket in place of the burner. The brass base stands atop a black base I believe is enameled iron. Very nice patina to brass. The brass plate on top of the foot is embossed with a leafy "Art Nouveau-style" design. The font is yellow slag glass with a heavily embossed wreath & ribbon design. The dual burner knobs both read, "MADE IN ENGLAND". Other than that, I could find no other name or stamp anyw else on the lamp. The shade is gorgeous - 7 1/2" tall, and is deep yellow at the top to light yellow frosted glass at the bottom. The top of the shade is ruffled. T is an elaborate etched design with vertical floral panels all around. The glass shade and font are both in excellent condition with no damage. A lovely lamp with the beauty of a blooming daffodil. Complete with chimney.
