Paul Warfield Tibbets [1915 2007] was a brigadier general in the United States Air Force who was the pilot of the B-29 Enola Gay when she droped the first Atomic bomb, code-named ''Little Boy'' on the Japanese city of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. Listed for auction is a typed quote signed by Paul W. Tibbets. The quote reads as follows, On August 6, 1945, I was the pilot of the Enola Gay, and commanded the mission that dropped the first Atomic bomb in history, which brought World War II to it's conclusion and changed history forever. The morality of dropping that bomb was not my business. I was instructed to perform a military mission, and that was the thing I was going to do to the best of my ability. The autograph is signed ''Paul Tibbets'' in blue felt tip pen and the page measure 5.50 x 8.00 inches and is in fine condition.
