This is probably one of the largest natural sapphires that I have ever seen. It is truly enormous, it's at least 75cts. The color is a beautiful deep, intense, deep blue, that changes with the light. It is much better than it looks in the pictures. These very large rings are back in fashion. In the 1920s and 1930s many movie stars wore rings of this size rings and even larger. Joan Crawford wore a 130ct citrine ring, Barbara Stanwyck wore a 100+ carat sapphire and Marlena Dietrich wore a staggering 140 emerald cab. These were all very smalll women by todays standards, barely over 5 feet tall and not much more than100 pounds. They often wore their own jewels in the movies they appered in. It is rare to find a sapphire this size that has great color without tons of flaws. The sapphire is a very large size, at least 75cts. This sapphire is very well cut, each facet is precise and the stone has a lot of sparkle. The color saturation is even throughout the entire stone. The sapphire is set in a very heavy, well made sterling silver setting, with great filigree work. The color of the sapphire is much better than the picture shows, it looks so much better in person.
