Since seeing my first Gateway Autographed Cachets back in the late eighties, I have been in love with them and over the past two decades I've managed acquire around 100 of these beauties. The time has come however, to unload my collection.
For those unfamiliar with Gateways, they are at once a postal collectibile as they are postmarked at a place and time of a specific occasion, a sports collectible as they commemorate a particular event of significance, and thirdly, they are a work of art as the silk cachets are a work of art especially commissioned for the event.

As a point of clarification, Gateway is the dominant producer of sports-related autographed cachets, but other smaller comapnies have also issued similar items over the years. About 90% of my cachets are Gateways but I have picked up a few by others. Of course, each auction will make clear the producer of each item.
