Here for sale is an excellent+ condition (signs of normal use only) Ensign Selfix 820 with strap and leather case. There are no dents or deep scratches just slight wear to the black paint. The leather covering and chrome are in good condition. The lens is free from scratches, fungus and haze. The focus has been checked with film and is correct at infinity. The shutter works on all speeds and sounds correct but absolute accuracy is not guaranteed. The camera opens and closes correctly, with a little help as with all Selfixes. These cameras do not spring open as do Ikontas for example. This is probably a good thing for film flatness. I have personally found these cameras to give sharper results than the equivalent Zeiss product. This is possibly because of the more robust film gate holding the film flatter. The coated Ross Expres is also more than a match for the Tessar. As well as giving 8 large exposures on 120 film this camera has built in masks to enable 12 square negatives to be taken. It will be very well packaged for next day Special Delivery for less than it will cost me to post. PS TAKE A LOOK at item number 160839340220 for an Autorange 820 (similar camera with coupled rangefinder) which just sold for over £2000!
