Hi, folks! Thanks for looking at this auction! I am once again cleaning up space in my fossil room to accommodate my voracious appetite for fossil vertebrae. I am trying to clear out drawers, cabinets and shelves in anticipation of a great Spring and Summer collecting spree. So...I will be offering a large variety of fossils in the upcoming weeks. I will also be offering more of my father's Native American artifact collection and more of his rocks and minerals collection as well. I am not looking to make huge amounts of money off of these things, so the starting bids will be very low. My goals are twofold, the first being to clear up space and the second being to get a little cash for more vertebrae! In all of my auctions the buyer will pay only the actual shipping charges. I am tired of sellers making as much profit off of shipping as they do the items themselves, aren't you? In this auction I offer the first of the non-Cretaceous crabs I will be putting up. This is an example of an Eocene Epoch crab from a creature whose genus and species are called, "Harpactocarcinus americanus ". This one was collected in Eocene Epoch sediments in Southeast Texas. This fossil is almost 2 1/2 inches from side to side and almost 2 inches from front to back. It is a pretty decent example of this type of fossil crab. T is a blurp of whiteout on the bottom along with a catalog number w it was referenced in a previous collection. This guy weighs about 4 ounces without any shipping material or a box included. Domestic shipping is likely to be in the $1 to $2 range. T is a very low starting bid and remember the buyer will pay only the actual shipping costs. I will combine shipping on multiple items won. International bidders please note you are welcome to bid. However, I ask you please be patient with me at auction's end as I calculate exactly the cost to ship to you. International is, of course, more expensive than bidders within the U.S. Returns are never a problem. If the buyer is not happy, then neither am I. ATTENTION INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS: I have had several expectation mis-matches with overseas bidders who elect to have their item shipped via USPS Ground Shipping Services. The USPS officially declares the amount of time it takes for ground shipped items to be, "4 to 6 weeks". I am glad to comply with your wishes to ship via this method if you choose. However, please do not panic or get pushy with me if your item does not arrive quickly. I will no longer issue any refunds on items such as these until 6 weeks have passed from the date of shipping. After 6 weeks, if your item still has not arrived, I am glad to offer a 100% refund. I hope everyone understands that I can not guarantee items shipped via this method will show up in the 2-4 week timeframe. Please set your expectations accordingly. Thanks for bidding on this auction and good luck to you!
