This is a fundraising auction to benefit the Craft Emergency Relief Fund (CERF+) , a non-profit organization that helps craftspeople who are facing the potential loss of their livelihood due to an illness, accident, natural disaster, or other tragedy . This is a Giving Works auction, and 50% of the net proceeds from the auction will be donated to CERF+. This giant vase was thrown by artist Paul McVicker, who celebrated his 5th year with Ephraim Pottery in 2010. The foot bears our 2010 studio mark, our "E" experimental mark, and both Paul's and Laura's impressed and original ink signatures (see photo). This one-of-a-kind floor vase is one of the largest pieces we've ever created. Its size is perhaps equaled only by CERF+'s need for assistance this year. Hurricane Irene and flooding read more
