A stunning black marker sketch of one of Eric Carles iconic characters-- the butterfly that is the culmination of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, hand drawn in black marker, and signed boldly by Eric Carle PROVENANCE: An original commissioned piece of art, hand drawn in black marker by Eric Carle. This piece was commissioned and donated by Eric Carle to a charity Children's auction fundraiser in 2012. Letter of Authenticity to accompany the drawing, with the signature of the Fundraiser on both the reverse side of the art and the letter.
