Up for auction is a Max Gray O scale brass locomotive manufactured in Japan by KTM for usage on scale 2 rail track. This locomotive comes to us by way of a family member of an employee of the Erie Railroad who displayed this locomotive, one of his favorites on his mantle, for many years. As may be seen in the photos the locomotive is nicely custom painted for the Erie and carries number 2940. We tested the locomotive and it runs smoothly and consistently having an open frame motor as would be typical for a locomotive of this era. We should also note that it does appear that the locomotive was run at some point however signs of wear are minimal and overall condition is good. This locomotive offers fans of the Erie and collectors of early era O scale brass an excellent opportunity to obtain a beautiful piece from one if the true greats of that time.
