PIPER, GROCERIES & STUFF (Trade Sign) from Mirror Lake (Tuftonboro) New Hampshire For anyone familiar with the Mirror Lake, New Hampshire area prior to 1980 this Trade Sign will bring back great memories ... This sign was purchased from the Estate of Ernest B. Piper through Dow's Antiques in Tuftonboro, New Hampahire ... It was used in the Junior League of Boston Decorator's Show House and Garden Tour in 1981 at "Elm Bank" Wellesley, Massachusetts and was photographed by Country Living Magazine ... Measurements: 74" width, 20" height, 3" depth and the weight is about 40 lbs ... Sign has some paint flake and slight warp which is not unusual for a sign of its age, paint on lettering has very minor loss, sign is made of wood ... Also included is a photocopy (two pages) of the History of the Mirror Lake, New Hampshire Post Office which Ernest Piper was Postmaster for over thirty years ... I will also include a collection of ten vintage postcards all of Mirror Lake, New Hampshire ... The sign is available for pickup at either Newton Centre, Massachusetts or York Harbor, Maine ... Should you wish to have the sign shipped, the Buyer is responsible for making all arrangements for packaging, shipping and actual shipping cost ... I have spoken to UPS/Newtonville, Mass. and they have determined that packing charges would be approximately 125.00, actual shipping cost would be determined ... Payment by personal check will require check to clear bank before arrangements can be made for pick-up ...
