This is a page signed by the witty, slightly sinister English character actor Ernest Thesiger (1879-1961). Ever so slightly eccentric - loved to spend time crocheting with his great friend Queen Mary, was known for laying flowers at the feet of the handsome doorman at the Savoy Hotel in London and joined the army in Worlds War 1 hoping to be in a scottish regiment as he fancied wearing a kilt.Some of his films included "The Bride of Frankenstein" as Dr.Pretorius, "The Old Dark House" as Horace Femm , "The Ghoul" and "The Man in the White Suit".The page has been trimmed and laid onto a larger one then been matted/mounted in black with a 10x8 photo to an overall size of 16"x11"This has been handsigned by Ernest Thesiger and is not a photocopy/autopen.
