This is a Ernst Leitz Wetzlar binocular microscope - made in Germany - serial number: 744131. Originally owned by the University of North Carolina. It was VERY WELL taken care of (see pictures)! It has a 6V 15 Watt light bulb which appears fine - but can't test due to the unique type of plug. Microscope is equipped with quadruple objective openings and it has a removeable turret. This microscope comes with 3 objectives. All three objectives read: "Leitz Wetzlar Germany". They are factory originals. The first objective reads: 170/0.17 40/0.65, the second one reads: 170/- 10/0.25, and the third one reads: 170/- 3.5 / 0.10 This microscope has a 1.25x binocular head, with slide entrance. It comes with a pair of Leitz Wetzlar Periplan GF 10x Oculars. Underneath the quality x-y positionable object table, you'll find a dovetail condenser with a "As 0.90" optic lens with diaphragm. The dials on this microscope are smooth and work perfectly! (German engineering) It appears that the original owner used an aluminum clamp to keep the slide from moving. EVERY GLASS LENS AND OBJECTIVE on this microscope appears to be in excellent condition. Because of my unfamiliarity with these devices, I took many pictures and did my best to describe every detail I could. Item is being sold "as is".
