Erzgebirge German Hunter Incense Burner With Dog & Gun Note: We accept PayPal. Please note that Ebay has dropped MO or Cashier's Checks as Payment Options. Up for bid is a great example of German wooden painted figures. This one measures 7 1/2" tall x 3 1/2" deep x 3" wide and features a hunter dressed in green holding a dog leash, smoking a pipe, a rifle on the shoulder, and a jaunty hat with turned up rim. The figure separates into two pieces so that you could put an incense inside with the smoke rising up through the figure and out the mouth. The bottom sticker reads "Rauchermannwerkstatt (or 'Smoking Man' - Made in Germany - echtre Erzgebirgische Handarbeit - Frank Beyer - Deutschneudorf". In fact these figures are commonly called "Smoking Men". Condition: We received this as a gift a few years ago but never burned any incense so it never collected any stains other than a bit of surface dust. This is a quality piece made with knot free wood, good paint or stain, and detail carving or wood pieces. I note no chips, cracks, or paint loss.
