Hi Welcome! For auction is this absolutely beautiful vintage Music Box from Germany. It is an unique art work, hand crafted from wood and hand painted. It features Father Moon with 3 angels surrounded by sheep. This beautiful item was made in the Erzgebirge region in the former East Germany by the famous company "Wendt & Kuhn". When the music is playing the ring with the sheep is rotating, the sheep are "running around" Father Moon and the angels. The musical movement is a swiss THORENS movement. The sound is bright and clear and it plays very well: "Wer hat die Schoensten Schaefchen ...". H as a working stopper on the side. This piece is in great condition and almost complete. There are some spots, though where the paint is missing, please have a close look at ALL pictures! One angel's wing is missing and 2 sheep lost their tails. That is hardly recognizable and would be easy to repair. It is huge: measures about 9" tall and 6" wide. Do not let this beauty go, add it to your collection now! This design is long retired.
