Santeria/ Lukumi Ogo Esu (Eshu Garabato) and Covered Ado (Hanging Gourd) Garabato 9 inches long and Gourd 6 inches tall I am selling items that I have commissioned from Orisha craftsmen and women I know and work with in Habana Vieja and elsew This auction is for a garabato and hanging gourd with lid for Eleggua (Ado Eshu-Elegba, Echu, Alagbara, Elleggua, Ellegua). They are painted red and black, the garabato is made of the traditional guava wood and has a hooked end that Eshu uses to attract and pull good things into the life of the devotee, it is also used to snare enemies and trip them up. This makes it a popular symbolic toold given to Elegba and the warriors, often we give toys and candy to Elegbara but this is something he can really use rather than amuse himself with! It is a very popular addition to the shrine for Elegba. The set also comes with a hanging gourd, painted half red, half black, the gourd is strung in such a way that the lid will stay put. This has many different uses. It can be used to serve offerings such as popcorn or sweets or other food. It can be used to hold a charm or osain above the door (such as the bear-trap item that I am currently auctioning), it can be used to hold powders and other medicines and so on, it will look wonderful hanging in pride of place next to or above your Elegba. I will be offering more handmade and handcarved afrocuban and orisha treasures. If t is anything you would like to see auctioned please let me know! Shipping worldwide isFREE!!!! Grab it before it's too late.
