Superb early Indonesian made ESP EX-50 Explorer. Please do not confuse this the current Chinese made offering, the two could not be more different. Spec wise, the guitar features a solid Agathis (Eastern Mahogany) body, with a bolt on maple neck, rosewood fretboard with 22 jumbo frets and abalone at the 12th fret. Hardware is Grover and the pickups are Duncan Designed units. So what sets this apart from the current Chinese model? Well having had the opportunity to play them back to back the first thing that is obvious is the weight. This thing is properly balanced unlike the Chinese made model which is so light it's neck is heavier than the body with the headstock pulling towards the ground when standing. Secondly the hardware on this Indonesian made model is quality ESP branded black finish as opposed to generic unbranded chrome hardware on the Chinese Model. The pickups on this model are vintage covered ESP units which are quality items, when compared to the generic items on the Chinese model. Lastly, the fit, finish & overall build quality are worlds apart, with this Indonesian model being absolutely spot on.Condition wise, the guitar has been played so does have some small dings, marks & scratches, the neck is straight, the action is low & the frets show light ware.
