This was purchased by my dad on 12/10/83 and given to my mom that Christmas. He paid 1,413.57 for the ring and received an appraised value of 2,600.00 at that time. It has a certificate with it, which you will get along with the appraisal. I believe the value should have since increased tremendously. My mom loved the ring and always got many compliments on it during her lifetime. I would say it is in very good to excellent condition for the age and wear. The appraisal reads: LADY'S 14 KT. YELLOW GOLD WEDDING. 47 BRILLIANT CUT DELUXE QUALITY DIAMONDS. 1-1/4 CARATS TOTAL DIAMOND WEIGHT. Diamond is also the birthstone for April born!Ring is a size 7. It has all round diamonds. 13 each 4 pronged on either edge (26) and the center portion has the largest centered round diamond with 10 flanking each side of this centered diamond. These 21 diamonds are pave set in a platinum slightly domed rise background. The ring measures 1/2" W in the center tapering down to 1/4" wide at each end X 6/8" long (diamond portion) going straight across or 1 1/2" long following the dome rise. The height from the shank is 7/8". All 47 diamonds are EXQUISITE. Don't think the picture captures the fiery look.
