From a lovely Maine estate auction and sale, tonight I'll be listing a number of interesting antiques and collectibles including this fabulous antique sterling silver desk or bedside clock on a deep blue glass beveled raised platform, see photo, the clock face reads Bigelow, Kennard & Co. 8 Day and on the bottom in teeny writing Swiss...Bigelow, Kennard & Co. were fine watch and clock makers in Boston, from 1863 to 1922, well respected in their trade.........the clock face is a silver color, with gold numbers one through 12 outlined in black, the ornate hands are gold as well, a VERY elegant looking clock, it is engraved on the top with the simple initials I.P.....the piece measures about 3 1/2" high...the base is about 3 1/4" by 1 7/8" by about 1" thick or high..it has a silver winder on the underside of base and the clock has been wound and is working though sold as purchased...it is exceptional and gorgeous ...no chips cracks breaks, it is also marked on the side in tiny engraving 0935 and a lion indicia...$8.00 US shipping.
