Listed this week, and back by popular demand is Joanies Asian arts estate lot treasure sale! Please find listed an amazing array of great estate lots equalling many hundreds of items in total. Mark Your Calendars, this auction ends the evening of Sunday Aug 25th Up for auction is an estate collection of 6 very fine Chinese carved jadeite pendants. I do not know a great deal about the pendants, they are some of the finest carved examples I have personally seen. The pendants have some interesting designs with gourds, vines, lotus, bats, dragons, and other interesting designs. The pendants have a beautiful array or colors from a apple jadeite, to icy white, fire orange, and lavender. The pendants could use a light cleaning, but I like to leave everything exactly as I receive it from the estate. The pendants are otherwise in fine condition with no chips, cracks, or missing pieces. The pendants are a nice an practical size for wearing measuring from 1 5/8 to 2 inches long. I believe you do not see examples of this quality come up for auction very often. I am sure the pendants would all sell quite well on their own, but I did not have item to list everything separate so thought I would make up for nice treasure lots! Provenance: These pendants along with a good number of the other items listed are from the A. Alexander collection. Alexander was a highly respected Asian Arts dealer and collector in the 1960-70�s period which frequently travelled to China, Hong Kong, New York, and London on buying trips at the time. Alexander owned the Imperial Jade shop which was located within the famous King Edward Hotel in Toronto until his retirement in the year 1976. When the shop closed many of the pieces went to Sotheby�s in New York for auction. Alexander kept some of the pieces he liked including these pendants. Most of the pieces have been in storage since the shop closed in 1976 and have not seen the light of day until now. PLEASE REVIEW PAYMENT AND RETURN POLICIES PRIOR TO BIDDING.
