I have recently purchased a small collection of antique Japanese porcelain that I will be offering this week. Bowls will come in matching sets, the two plates I am offering separate. Most appear to be from the Edo period. This plate is signed on the underside in 4 characters. 9 1/2 inch wide. Japanese porcelain with Japanese 'Imari' decoration. Mark: Fuki Choshun , four Kanji characters that stands for Wealth, Nobility, Longevity and Youth, often used during the Edo period (1603-1867) on Arita Imari. Meaning: good fortune and long life'. Very common on Imari dishes. Will ship for $8.00
