Up for auction, in good condition, is a GENUINE CARTIER'S famous PANTHER RING. The panther, Cartier's company symbol, has been formed into an appealing 18K TRI-COLORED GOLD RING. The three interwoven bands that make up the shank are tri-colored: yellow, white and rose 18K solid gold.
This genuine Cartier Panther Ring has 1mm round-cut genuine emerald eyes and an onyx nose which has broken off and needs to be replaced by a competent jeweler. Considering the original nose was onyx, the cost should be minimal. With an onyx nose and a buffing, this outstanding piece could be brought to its original state, like new condition. A real antique treasure and much sought after piece, yet very rare and hard to find! This Cartier ring is inscribed Cartier with trademark, 750, a serial number and the number 49. 49 is the French ring size, which is supposed to equal US size 4 5/8. The trademark is a diamond shape with the letter L and P separated by circular shapes. I believe the L stands for Louis Cartier and the P stands for Pierre Cartier (his son) and the circular shapes for other family members. This ring has been tested and proved to be 18K gold. The Panther is Cartier's famous mascot and this ring certainly is world class!!! Total weight of ring is 11.3 grams and this finely sculptured Panther needs a new home. Shipping to US only.
