Place a generous bid on this gorgeous pair of vintage Hattie Carnegie rhinestone dangle clipback earrings. These are marked "CARNEGIE" on the spring style ear clips. These showstoppers are LARGE, measuring about 3" long and the rhinestone encrusted balls are about 1 1/8" in diameter. Each ball is composed of twelve 1/2" diameter circle. Each circle is composed of ten prong set clear rhinestones, so that is 120 rhinestones on each ball! In spite of their impressive size, these are very lightweight. After close inspection, I can find only one missing rhinestone and a few with monor age yellowing. I see no repairs or replaced stones. I do not know the age of these, but they have to be handset stones and hand-made balls âÂeÂ" I canâÂeÂ(tm)t imagine a machine being able to construct these intricate beauties.
