9 beautiful Heisey Sandwich Tray in the Pattern Yeoman etched with flowers and swags and a silver edge. It measures 10 1/2" diameter. There is one crack under the handle but it doesn't go all the way through so I really don't know how it was done. Check out the Advertising for the item in my Heisey book from 1917. Please check my pictures as I use them as part of my description. If you have any questions please email me. Check my auction for many more one of a kind items from an estate in Athens Ga. Here is a little history of where the items came from. I was honored to attend the estate sale of Marguerite Thomas Hodgson (85) of Athens Ga. She was a prominent and lifelong resident of Athens Ga. The daughter of the late Ralph and Isabella Hodgson. She graduated from University of Ga. in 1946 and was President of Chi Omega Soroity and stayed active for many years. She was a talented artist and worked as an assistant to Ann Orr in her gold and silversmith studio. She also worked with copper. She loved horses and owned several of them and left an endowment for the UGA Veternary Medicine Equine Studies for $1 million. I don't believe she ever married and had no children. Her family came to Athens in 1842 and bought a Carriage Factory. They served in the Civil War and all the wars. If you would like to read about her family here is read more
