DESCRIPTION: This is a lot of over 700 old postcards of churches in Sweden from the estate of a long-time collector. T is a large percentage of very nice real photo cards in this lot.TYPES OF POST CARDS: Based on postmarks and annotations on the backs of cards, most of these cards appear to be from the 1930s through the 1950s. Approximately 590 are real photo postcards (RPPC), the balance (115+) are printed. Just to be on record, our Swedish is a little rusty. So, if you win the lot and find a card or two of a church in Copenhagen or Germany, please donâe(tm)t be distressed; weâe(tm)re not trying to slip one over on you, itâe(tm)s just an "oops." DUPLICATION : T are two kinds of possible duplication in lots: 1) duplication of subject (e.g., a NY City collector could have 100 different Statue of Liberty cards) and 2) duplication of a specific card (i.e., more than one copy of the same card). T are both kinds of duplication in this lot. However, in sorting we were impressed with the variety we found in this relatively narrowly focused category. SIZE: Standard (approx. 3 1⁄2" x 5 1⁄2") AGE/ERA: 1930s-1950s. CONDITION: The vast majority of cards are in good to very good condition.
