ESTATE PIPE 71 GBD DANTON 1025G ST CLAUDE FRANCE SILVER Description : NO RESERVE!!!!!ONLY $5.99!!!!!VINTAGE ESTATE #71GBDDANTON1025GMADE IN ST CLAUDE FRANCESMOKING TOBACCO PIPEWhat a Wonderful addition to your collection!!!This is a Vintage Estate Pipe.BEAUTIFUL Woodgrain, with Birdseye and Stripes.It is in the Bent shape.Stamped on side of shank,GBD in ovalDANTON Other sideST CLAUDE 1025GStamped by bandMADE IN FRANCEShiny Silver Metal band, Hallmarked with a SJV and a Evergreen in Shield.I do not know if it is Sterling, but think it is.T is no stem.Pipe bowl measures approx. 3 inches long.It looks in good condition, is used and in found condition and not cleaned.Some wear to bowl edge on front.This may be a RARE one,as I couldn't find any online with the DANTON name.These pipes are HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE!!!The company was established in Paris France in 1850.They have not been made in St Claude since 1981, so it's earlier than that.I read that they were a HIGH END Pipe and that they Rival Dunhill in Quality, Price and Design in the 60's and I believe this is probably when this one was made.It is probably made with Algerian Briar.It is part of a HUGE estate of Briar pipes that I will be listing.PLEASE ask any questions before bidding asI know Absolutely NOTHING about pipes or their value!So I will be offering them all as is at anUNBELIEVABLENO read more
