This is an old Solingen Germany, fancy Sporting, knife Dagger, Dirk, FIGHTING Knife, with folding Saw blade, Corkscrew and Gutting blade. . . Very possibly from the 1900's up to the WW2 era. Fantastic old aged stag horn handles. The blade is etched with "Premium Steel Hammer Forged Solingen Germany No. 231, with a logo that looks like the Disston Saw logo. This blade has fantastic Patina, appears to be very old and yet looks like it is unsharpened. Still has strong saw serrations near the guard for cutting through bone. I have owned several of the Puma 3561, which is what this is in design, and they don't come close to the quality of this knife. I am not sure who copied who, or if this was produced in the same factory. ( Not to be confused with Premeir Cutlery Co.) No cracks in this heavy folding handle. The blade of this fighting knife is thick, appears Unsharpened, and peppered with a fantastic grey patina. A nice knife with lots of character. I am selling this as a PAIR of Solingen knives since it comes with a heavy, high quality NAHC Piggyback leather Sheath. The small Jadgmesser or lederhosen knife is also old and marked SOLINGEN with nickel silver ferrel and cap. Vintage, has a crack in the stag but is a great match and still very usable. ` Please see photographs for more details and ask all questions prior to placing bids. read more
