You are bidding on a beautiful Victorian silver cream and sugar set from an estate auction in Michigan. It is marked Forbes Silver Co. Quadruple 135 on the bottom with the Forbes Eagles head in profile hallmark. The design is lovely with tiny scrolling plumes decorating the feet, handles and edge. The creamer pitcher has a covered spout similar to syrup pitchers of the same time period. The cream pitcher is 4 ¼ inches tall while the open sugar bowl is 3 3/8th inches. The sugar bowl may have once had a lid however it is no longer with the piece. They are in good condition showing wear to the silver visible on inspection. See photos. They are free of monogram. This lot has been hand polished so t are no more "surprises" under the tarnish. {Be wary of tarnished silver, plate wear and damage can hide under tarnish} This lot is in as stated condition but if not satisfied with purchase due to description a refund of the bid can be made following a return of the item within a 10-day period.
