Hello and Welcome, up for your consideration is a Vintage/Pre-owned 14kt Yellow Gold ring setting with 4 tiny accent diamonds, in the center is a freshly set 2.5 carat, 9.9mm x 5.5mm (deep) round cabochon cut Natural/Treated Ethiopian Black Opal. This Opal is amazing, particularly under direct natural lighting, it's multi-color flashes are bright and requires little encouragement. We've posted several photos under different lighting conditions so you too can experience the color plays involved. Ring Size is 7 (sizeable by your local jeweler) and total gram weight is 4 grams. The 4 tiny accent diamonds (2 on each side) are single facet cut and are likely 1-2 points each. The ring itself is old but will hold up for a long time more with some degree of care. This is a FUN piece, ideal for collectors of natural gems, October babies or the unfamiliar, since Ethiopian Opals are relatively a new find. Birthstone for the month of October, this is a wonderfully cost effective alternative to the (rather expensive) Australian version.
