Bust of a young blonde woman by Esther M Shirey, c 1930s or 40s. Measures approximately 5.5" tall. Condition is excellent. This work is very evocative of Goldscheider busts of the same period. An exceedingly rare offering of a desirable work by Shirey. We've just acquired a fantastic estate collection of pieces by Esther Shirey, please see our other listings for the other pieces. Shirey is associated with Los Angeles, Encino and Berkeley where she worked at the California Faience Pottery in the 40s.
